About the event

We will meet at The Whalebone (COS 7BG) at 5.30pm, which is in the centre of the village, TM028204 and following on from a late afternoon tea at 5.45pm, provided by the pub, move on to Fingringhoe NR at 7pm for a 2 hour visit to the reserve.

Bookings will be taken by Michael Padmore on 07936 325603 - a charge of £15 will be asked for the tea. Non-members of EWT will be asked to pay a £3 donation at the Visitor Centre. Stout footwear should be adequate but check with Michael. We will spend approximately two hours at the Reserve listening for Nightingales and other spring birds which should be in full song at this time. We will be joined by Shaun Bater, EWT Assistant Manager. Early May is always a good time to be out birding, so anything might turn up!
